The hectic night of travel had us too disoriented to figure out public transit from the airport to Bushwick. We called a cab and headed to Hanna's to drop off our bags before she headed out to work. Agreeing that it'd be a waste of a day to take even the shortest nap, the three of us decided to get breakfast and head over to the natural history museum.
This guy nodding off in the gutter was an apt physical representation of my lethargy.
This lady's eyes reminded me of my own set.
Hanna, the infallible. Together, we consumed an unholy number of tequila and Tecate combos. I must say -- if you can hand over your apartment keys to friends that ask for a place to stay on such short notice, that's family. Thank you again for everything.
And that was the first day.
